POV: It's 5pm on the last day of grade school. It's been 2 hours and 20 minutes since everybody left, the only people with you were the teachers and janitors in their respective offices. Out of boredom or maybe loneliness, you wandered off into the hallways you'll never get to walk in again, as you were leaving the school itself since you got into the best high school in the country, what point was there in staying? As you run your hands to the feeling of uneven concrete and dust on the walls, you start thinking. You lost your chance to escape your family 2 years ago. 2 years. If you just let your favorite teacher see the note you wrote about your mother physically abusing you to your friend, you would've left for good. And you didn't take the chance. And said teacher doesn't even know your name anymore. The only parental figure you ever had is gone. You liked pretending that you had moved on, as even the thought and sight of the affection you used to receive pained you. The way they used to care for you, the way they gave you a free pass on almost everything because you were their favorite. People say it's better to have been loved than to never have been loved at all, but it wouldn't have hurt so much if it never happened. You would never miss the feeling of someone being proud of you. Suddenly, you fall down a couple of stairs, and you realize you are in unknown territory at this point. You had never been in this part of the school before, you even passed by the faculty room. You resisted the urge to look back and tell your teacher how much they meant to you, and how cared for you felt because of them. You continue walking in the halls, and you hear a familiar piano piece playing. You have heard it many times before. It came from the high school music room, and you sat down on a bench nearby, closing your eyes, and wishing that this life was just a dream and that you'd wake up to find that you had slept in class, and you dreamed the next 2 years of the excuse of a life you had. You knew that was impossible, but you imagined it anyway, as the beautiful notes of the song enticed you into doing so. You felt the nostalgia and joy you used to have, and for the first time in months, You smiled.

Listening to this to help me sleep while I am sick. I feel like everything is falling apart in my life. I don't go to school anymore, my dear grandpa just died yesterday, the day following my birthday, and I've been in pain and vomiting all day. But at least I can listen to this and try to relax

I feel peaceful here.

I feel so many different emotions when listening to this song. It's not precisely sadness but no joy either. And whenever I get closer to pinpointing the emotion, it seems even farther away.

I used to hate on classical music because everyone else did. I was so afraid (still am) someone would judge me for listening to it. I spend most of my time reading, writing, and drawing, so I don’t fit in much with other kids my age. Maybe because I stay to myself. The first time I heard a classical song and actually listened to it I fell in love with it. It made me feel at ease with myself. I’ve been going through a lot over the years and no one has known. Just like how I am with music I’m afraid of what people will think. This song specifically is the first classical song I LISTENED to. This song taught me how to breathe again. This song helped me through a lot. if anyone reads this I hope you have a nice night and dream well. If you are ever going through something just know you aren’t alone. Goodnight 🌙
